A strong durable hardwood it will fade to a mellow silvery grey over time or can be personalised with outdoor furniture paint, or brought back to  a rich golden hue with an application of teak oil.

Technical Details

The American Oak comes from FSC accredited plantations. Buying FSC certified garden furniture ensures you are buying from companies that believe in good staff welfare, and meet environmental and sustainability targets set by FSC. Buying FSC certified products will encourage more forest owners to join the FSC programme and manage their resource in an environmentally responsible way.

Maintenance
All wood will fade to a pleasing silver tone in natural light. It is prefectly acceptable to leave it like this. If, however, you prefer to keep your furniture looking a rich golden colour, lightly apply teak oil with a cloth, after removing any dirt from the surface. (Follow manufacturers instructions). In dry period small cracks may appear along the line of the wood grain. This is perfectly normal, and does not affect the strength and durabilility of your furniture. Painted benches will need finish rubbed down and repainted from time to time.
