Technical Details

Pressure Treated Softwood. The uprights are a sturdy 90mm thick. Guaranteed against rot for 10 years. The arbour comes part assembled, includes all the necessary hardware, and good clear instructions for easy construction.

The wood comes from FSC accredited plantations. Buying FSC certified garden furniture ensures you are buying from companies that believe in good staff welfare, and meet environmental and sustainability targets set by FSC. Buying FSC certified products will encourage more forest owners to join the FSC programme and manage their resource in an environmentally responsible way.

Maintenance
Softwood timber will fade to a pleasing silver tone in natural light. It is perfectly acceptable to leave it like this. You can stain your arbour any colour using a water based wood furniture stain. (Follow manufacturers instructions). It is not uncommon for small splits or shakes to occur in the timber. These will normally go back when humidity rises. This is nature at work and is perfectly normal. It does not affect the strength and durability of your arbour seat.
